Circuit 12 Contemporary

Circuit 12 Contemporary was an art gallery I co- founded with Dustin Orlando in Dallas, TX. We were open from February 2012 till November 2017. We specialized in showing a range of contemporary and new media-based art and provided a unique platform for emerging to mid-career artists and ambitious projects. We became a beloved ﬁxture of the Dallas art scene, were the recipients of many “best of” awards, features, interviews, and well documented in the press during our years open. In addition to co-founding the gallery space, I founded PRIMER, (adjacent to the exhibition space) a bookstore/ gift shop that specialized in art books, artist made gift items, jewelry and accessories, prints, clothing and more. I secured all wholesale retail accounts for the store and gallery, and secured premier global publishers such as Rizzoli, Phaidon Press, Hachette Book Group and Printed Matter to name a few. In the gallery itself, some of my responsibilities included, but were not limited to ...everything: Art sales, advisory, business strategy/ model, sourcing talent, art consultant, space planning, corporate art acquisitions, public relations, collection management, art shipping and handling, art fair strategy/planning, financing, email marketing, consumer trend analysis, trend forecasting, cataloguing shows/ archiving, maintaining website, curating, event planning, artist management, public relations, social media management, copy writing and advertising, design/layout, graphic design, content creation, brand identity conceptualization. I was also an exhibited artist.
